Legally Harvested Wood:

The most important consideration in wood procurement is to ensure that the wood was legally harvested from responsibly managed forests. Look for legitimate third-party certifications that have high standards and the ability to monitor performance.
One such third party is the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). FSC is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world's forests.
Established in 1993 as a response to concerns over global deforestation, FSC is widely regarded as one of the most important initiatives of the last decade to promote responsible forest management worldwide.

WHY YOU SHOULD COLLABORATE WITH US:
|

The Green Tree Collaborative Collection is Sublimehome's effort to increase demand for Sustainable Furniture.
We see the environmental crisis as giving birth to the next stage of the evolutionary design continuum, the post contemporary age. The 2009 Green Home Furnishings Consumer Study, conducted by the Sustainable Furnishings Council, shows that if the "green" benefit is intangible furniture buyers, not yet eco conscious, are not moved to buy so-called Green Furniture solely on the basis of a claim. Therefore, a new emotionally compelling eco-aesthetic, a fresh style that reflects the eco era, is required to heighten desire and grow the market for our Eco-Friendly Furniture.
Sublimehome is seeking to co-design, with interior designers, locally produced eco-friendly case goods. Collaboration offers a mix of differing ideas and depth of experience, within various styles, necessary to develop an eco-aesthetic that has appeal outside the naturalist market.
Seven Eco-Friendly pieces have already been introduced. Each design, resulting from collaboration, represents the start of our effort to develop a post contemporary age look. On track to roll out two additional pieces by the end of '09, the collection features Casual Case Goods for the bedroom, living room, dining room and home office. In the 1st quarter of 2010 we will begin widening the sustainable selection within those categories through further collaboration, introducing one new piece per month.
Currently, The Green Tree Collaborative Collection is being test marketed at The MN Collection, a trade only distributor located in Scottsdale Arizona. As we fine tune our marketing strategy, regional distribution plans and the enhancement of our own online distribution capabilities are being made.
